Brian M. Garvine has been practicing law for 14 years and, in December, 2008, he opened his own law firm in downtown Columbus, the Law Office of Brian M. Garvine, LLC, specializing in civil litigation. He is admitted to practice before the following courts:

• Ohio State Courts
• United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio
• United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio

In addition, Mr. Garvine has been admitted pro hac vice to practice law in various other state and federal courts.

Brian earned a BA in Sociology from the Ohio State University in 1992. He earned his law degree from the University of Toledo in 1997.

Brian was elected to Ashville Council in November, 2007. He chairs the Public Safety and Parks & Recreation Committees. He is also a member of the Utility Committee.

Brian is a trustee of the Ashton Village Homeowners Association; Member – Development Board – Nationwide Children’s Hospital (previous chairman of Rock-n-Bowl Committee); Co-chairman – Forward Together Columbus; District officer – Beta Theta Pi fraternity (responsible for chapters at the Ohio State University, Ohio University and Denison University); The Ohio State University Alumni Association – “Juror” – College of Arts & Sciences Professional Achievement award; Previous Vice-President – National Hall of Fame for Persons with Disabilities.

Brian enjoys coaching, playing golf, reading and exercising. He competed in his first Ironman triathlon in September, 2010.
